As the adage goes, "It takes a village to raise a child," and the YWCA is a pivotal part of that village for many families in Northwestern Illinois thanks to the support of United Way and the United for Literacy initiative.

UWRRV Hires Labor-focused Relationship Manager

George Joins the Team

United Way of Rock River Valley (UWRRV) welcomes George Welitschinsky as its labor-focused Relationship Manager. George is a retiree from Chrysler and a proud member of UAW Local 1268 and brings 26 years of experience to United Way. George will work closely with local labor and industry and serve as an important source for labor information and referral services. George joined United Way in November 2023.

United Way of Rock River Valley (UWRRV) is pleased to announce the promotions of three of its staff members—Jessica Iasparro, Director of Community Impact; Angela Lundin, Director of Development; and Cherice Ullrich, Community Engagement Manager. Before their new positions, Jessica served as Volunteer Manager, and Angela and Cherice served as Relationship Managers.
