$250,000 awarded to 33 non-profits from COVID-19 Emerging Needs Fund

United Way of Rock River Valley makes first round of grant allocations from COVID-19 Emerging Needs Fund.

United Way of Rock River Valley (UWRRV) announced it, in collaboration with the 815 Community Response Team, has awarded $250,000 in the first round of grants from its COVID-19 Emerging Needs Fund to 33 non-profit organizations in Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago Counties that are responding pragmatically to the needs of individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic consequences.

Kjellstrom Foundation pledges $125,000 for COVID-19 relief

The Kjellstrom Family Foundation pledges $125,000 to United Way of Rock River Valley COVID-19 Emerging Needs Fund.

The Kjellstrom Family Foundation announced it is pledging $125,000 to United Way of Rock River Valley’s COVID-19 Emerging Needs Fund. The Foundation will match each dollar donated by the public up to $125,000. The fund is already nearing $50,000 in donations thanks to $26,000 from Meijer, $10,000 from an anonymous donor and donations ranging from $10 to $2,000 from members of the community.
