Comcast offering free internet services during quarantine

Comcast has announced a comprehensive COVID-19 response to help keep Americans connected to the internet.

Comcast is taking steps to ensure people stay connected to the internet as more schools suspend classes and companies encourage employees to work from home due to COVID-19. They are implementing the following new policies for the next 60 days:

Free WiFi for everyone — Xfinity WiFi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs it for free, including non-Xfinity internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, visit xfinity.com/wifi. Once at a hotspot, you can select the "xfinitywifi" network name in the list of available hotspots, and then launch a browser.

Pausing data plans — With so many working and schooling from home, Xfinity is allowing customers to access the internet without worrying about data plans. All data plans are being paused for 60 days giving everyone unlimited data.

No disconnects or late fees — Xfinity will not disconnect your internet service or assess late fees if you contact them and let them know you can't pay your bill. Flexible payment options and other solutions will also be offered.
