Board member and loyal volunteer Terri Knight has officially reached 100 hours of service at United Way. In her dedication as an office volunteer, she has prepared thousands of books for distribution and created many fun moments with our staff.
"I didn't realize I was even close to 100 [hours]—this is such a surprise," Terri said. "I am so grateful."
According to Terri, giving back to the United Way is easy. "It's fun, you meet people, and you have a great time. It's not rocket science! I enjoy helping and doing things."
If you or a loved one has received a book from United Way, Terri's hand likely placed the sticker on the front cover. Boxes upon boxes of books have been sorted and stickered by Terri and our other office volunteers, and she is humble in the face of her efforts.
"As long as it helps kids read—that's what it's all about!"
If you or your organization are interested in stickering and preparing children's books for distribution in the community, please reach out to Dan Berman at dberman@unitedwayrrv.org.
