United Way of Rock River Valley today announced the addition of three new team members as the organization continues to align its internal capacity with strategic community priorities. These appointments include one existing and two newly created roles designed to strengthen United Way’s efforts in youth opportunity, community resilience, and organization operations.

Dan Berman serves as the organization’s first-ever Youth Opportunity Manager. Before joining United Way, Dan served as Director of Development for Our Kids Read. Dan brings extensive experience in early childhood education and literacy initiatives and will be responsible for leading youth-focused programs across Winnebago County. His passion for educational equity and community engagement will support United Way’s ongoing efforts to improve youth outcomes and expand access to learning opportunities.

Mishel Browning has been appointed as the organization’s Community Resiliency Manager, a new role created to enhance United Way’s 211 Helpline services and oversee other community initiatives to meet Community Resiliency impact goals for the organization. Mishel brings a strong background in outreach, volunteer coordination, customer service, and office operations. Prior to joining United Way, she served as an office professional at Plumbers Local Union 75.

Also joining the team is Deanna Feggestad, who joined the organization as Office Coordinator, where she will be responsible for supporting internal operations, managing office logistics, and providing administrative support across departments. Deanna has over 15 years of experience in office administration, customer service, purchasing, and inventory management. Prior to joining United Way, she worked at Rhyme in Janesville, WI.

“These new hires represent not only the talent and dedication we seek in our team, but also the direction in which our organization is growing,” said Julie Bosma, President and CEO of United Way of Rock River Valley. “Deanna, Mishel, and Dan each bring a unique set of skills and a shared commitment to community service. We are excited to welcome them and look forward to their contributions to the team.”
