United Way of Rock River Valley (UWRRV) recently announced during its annual meeting, key leadership transitions within its Board of Directors including changes to the Executive Committee and the retirement of several long-serving board members whose dedication has significantly shaped the organization’s work across the region.

Departing Members

The organization extends its deepest appreciation to Alli Insko (Dickerson & Nieman), Julie O’Rourke (recently retired from Associated Bank), Dale Dickinson (retired from Field), and Mark Baldwin (consultant) for their committed service. Their leadership, insight, and deep belief in United Way’s mission have advanced impactful initiatives focused on youth opportunity and community resilience.

“These individuals have each left an indelible mark on our work and our community,” said Julie Bosma, president and CEO of UWRRV. “We are especially thankful to them for their thoughtful leadership during a period of renewed strategic focus on community impact.”

New Leadership

With Baldwin stepping down, Casey Lester (Field), formerly Board Secretary, has been named Board Chair. Jason Blume (Harlem School District) will serve as Vice Chair, and EJ Miller (Hard Rock Casino Rockford), re-elected for a second term, will now serve as Secretary. Former board member Mike Paterson (Mid-West Family) returns to the Board as Treasurer.

“We’re energized by this new Executive Committee’s commitment and readiness to lead,” said Bosma. “Their professional expertise and community focus will be invaluable as we continue to address the region’s most pressing challenges.”

New board members will be formally announced in August.
