FY21 Middle School Success Request for Proposals
The mission of United Way of Rock River Valley is to lead and unite the community to measurably improve lives. In response to looking ahead to the next century of community impact and to ever-increasing community challenges around an educated, capable workforce, United Way’s Board of Directors has endorsed a focus on Middle School Success aimed at making sure all 9th students are on track to graduate. This focus includes middle school preparation, middle school programs, and parent and family support. The middle school success focus is now more important than ever due to the long-term effects of COVID-19 on students and their social-emotional needs.
United Way of Rock River Valley is seeking proposals to address social and emotional needs of middle school aged children during the 2020 - 2021 school year. Programming may include, but is not limited to, mentoring, tutoring, counseling, and life skill training. Program outcomes should address middle school attendance, behavior, and/or course grades in Math and English. While United Way will consider proposals that measure other positive impacts on middle school students, preference will be given to proposals measuring positive effect on school attendance, behavior, and course grades.
The deadline to apply for this grant is Friday, October 16 at 5 p.m.
