Teagen's family is originally from the Rockford area, and she's lived here since 2020. She went to University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for Global Studies-Communication. UWM is where she began working in student support, and she loves that she gets to continue that work in RESA Middle School as part of the United Way team. Being a part of Move the Middle is meaningful to her because it means she's an integral part of students' lives. The power to really make a difference for the students, and therefore make a difference for the community, makes the job meaningful and rewarding to her.
