Each year, United Way of Rock River Valley recognizes organizations with successful workplace campaigns. The following award categories exemplify what companies are doing to support United Way:

 

2014-2015 Campaign Recognition

 

Chairman's Circle Plate: recognizes an organization's annual total support (corporate or employee) to United Way of $200,000 or more.

LIVE UNITED Award: recognizes an organization's exemplary demonstration of United Way's spirit of Give, Advocate, and Volunteer throughout the year. This organization is a champion for improving lives in the community through corporate philanthropy, volunteer efforts and community impact.

Community Growth: recognizes organizations with the largest percent increase in employee giving

  • 99 & employee category: YWCA of Rockford – an 867% increase
  • 100 – 249 employee category: Rockford Mass Transit District and ATU Local 1333 – a 103% increase
  • 250 – 499 employee category: Winnebago County Sheriff Police / AFSCME Local 473 / FOP – a 163% increase
  • 500 and above employee category: Mondelēz International – a 74% increase

 

Community Impact: recognizes organizations with the largest increase in total amount raised

  • 99 & employee category: Raymond James & Associates – a $7,816 increase
  • 100 – 249 employee category: The Bon-Ton Stores - a $7,799 increase
  • 250 – 499 employee category: City of Rockford Fire Department / IAFF Local 413 - a $12,613 increase
  • 500 and above employee category: Woodward - a $17,011 increase

 

Employment Engagement: recognizes organizations with the largest percent increase in employee participation

  • 99 & employee category: Rockford Area Economic Development Council – a 125% increase
  • 100 – 249 employee category: Macy's – a 20% increase
  • 250 – 499 employee category: Rockford Orthopedic Associates – a 51% increase
  • 500 and above employee category: Mondelēz International – a 94% increase

 

Innovators: recognizes organizations that make their campaigns visible, exciting and effective with substantial improvement over the previous year

Employee Campaign Coordinator of the Year: awarded to those individuals that serve a vital role with the United Way campaign in any company and honors their outstanding leadership and spirit during a successful workplace campaign
