Each year, United Way of Rock River Valley recognizes organizations with successful workplace campaigns. The following award categories exemplify what companies are doing to support United Way:

 

2013 Campaign Recognition Recipients

 

Chairman's Circle Plate: recognizes an organization's annual total support (corporate or employee) to United Way of $200,000 or more.

LIVE UNITED Award: recognizes an organization's exemplary demonstration of United Way's spirit of Give, Advocate, and Volunteer throughout the year. This organization is a champion for improving lives in the community through corporate philanthropy, volunteer efforts and community impact.

 

100% Employee Participation: recognizes organizations that ran a workplace campaign with 100% employee participation

  • American Red Cross, Rock River Chapter
  • Dr. Pepper Snapple Group
  • Field Fastener (100% employee participation rate for seven consecutive years)

 

Community Growth: recognizes organizations with the largest percent increase in employee giving

  • 99 & employee category: Springfield Electric Supply Company – 544%
  • 100 – 249 employee category: Rockford Public Library / AFSCME 3350 – 60%
  • 250 – 499 employee category: YMCA Rock River Valley – 102%
  • 500 and above employee category: Mondelez International – 805%

 

Community Impact: recognizes organizations with the largest increase in total amount raised

  • 99 & employee category: Raymond James & Associates - $7,730
  • 100 – 249 employee category: Comcast - $4,625
  • 250 – 499 employee category: Bergstrom - $27,118
  • 500 and above employee category: Woodward - $19,561

 

Employment Engagement: recognizes organizations with the largest percent increase in employee participation

  • 99 & employee category: The Literacy Council – 59%
  • 100 – 249 employee category: Children's Home + Aid – 30%
  • 250 – 499 employee category: YMCA Rock River Valley – 14%
  • 500 and above employee category: Mondelez International – 9%

 

Innovators: recognizes organizations that make their campaigns visible, exciting and effective with substantial improvement over the previous year
