MercyRockford Health System Donation

(Rockford, Ill. - 01/06/2015) – As a play on the "first baby born in the New Year" announcement, the first corporate donation of 2016 arrived yesterday around 10:26 a.m. courtesy of MercyRockford Health System. Representatives of MercyRockford presented the check in the amount of $35,000 to United Way of Rock River Valley's community impact fund, which supports investments in strategies and programs that strengthen the education, income and health of our area. This investment in community impact continues the organization's commitment to improving lives in our neighborhoods.

In addition to the corporate check, MercyRockford annually pledges employee contributions through its United Way workplace campaign and devotes time to advocacy and volunteerism. Last year, MercyRockford was recognized by United Way as a recipient of the inaugural Strong Neighbor Award for their work in helping residents prepare for and connect with employment opportunities.

MercyRockford Health System representatives Dan Parod, senior vice president of hospital and administrative affairs, Helen Brooks, vice president of community and regional development, and Nancy Harvey, director of claims, presented the check to Paul A. Logli, president/CEO, and Matthew Zarembski, relationship manager.
