(Rockford, Ill. - 09/17/2014) – Representatives from Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 23 presented a check in the amount of $5,465 to United Way of Rock River Valley in support of community impact programming in Winnebago and Ogle counties. Funds were raised through the Plumber & Pipefitters 2014 Golf Play Day event.

Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 23 Tim Huff, Business Agent, and Rick Beck, Business Manager, presented the check to United Way of Rock River Valley's Paul Logli, President/CEO, Jennifer Beckman, Ogle County Director, and Trisha Welte, AFL-CIO Labor Liaison on Wed., September 17, 2014. This is the fourth year in which Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 23 directed proceeds from their Golf Play Day to United Way, totaling over $23,000.
