Bank on Rockford

Bank on Rockford is a partnership between the Illinois State Treasurer's Office, financial regulatory agencies, community organizations and financial institutions.  The goal is to help you and other unbanked individuals in the Rockford area into the financial mainstream by helping you open a bank account.  Bank on Rockford will help thousands of  people in the Rock River Valley get on the path to financial security.

Family Wize Prescription Drug Discount Card

40% of people in the United States in the last two years have either skipped filling a prescription or reduced doses because the medicine was too expensive.  To address this, more than 830 United Way agencies and America's Promise Alliance Partners, in all 50 states, have come together in this Family Wize community service partnership to organize and coordinate community-wide distribution of these free prescription drug discount cards.  The goal is to reduce the cost of medicine for people in need by at least $100 million.

United Way of Rock River Valley is providing these cards free-of-charge to everyone in out community. There are no age restriction, no income restrictions, no limit on how many times you can use it and no waiting to get a card. 

If you have internet access you can go to www.FamilyWize.org to print the card, look up drug prices, and get a list of participating pharmacies or you can call/go to any local pharmacies to get information and receive your card.
