Behind every United Way workplace campaign is a group of individuals that play a key role in making the campaign a success. Employee Campaign Coordinators not only provide a link between their organizations and United Way, they also plan, organize and coordinate the entire workplace campaign for their company.

The Employee Campaign Coordinator of the Year Award recognizes the time, effort and talent of individuals who are essential to helping United Way improve the lives of our community.

Nikki Jarrett, Thermo Fisher Scientific

Continuing on their positive momentum from last campaign, Thermo Fisher Scientific posted one of their largest increases in campaign pledge totals in several years. As employee campaign coordinator, Jarrett led a cross-departmental campaign committee that organized, managed, and tracked results on all local events. As a company that values involvement, the committee relied on a "personal touch" during the campaign by focusing their marketing strategy on making the connection between the employee and United Way's community impact. Employees were given opportunities to Give, Advocate, and Volunteer throughout the campaign. Also, the committee conducted a pre-campaign survey on why donors supported United Way and identified concern areas, which were addressed in their kickoff meeting and various marketing materials. Jarrett promoted United Way's message through various channels including special events, incentives and contests, and email communications, and campaign encompassed each

Congratulations to Nikki Jarrett. As a result, Thermo Fisher Scientific increased campaign pledge totals by 40% and saw employee participation go up by 21%.
